Place for breakfast!! So this is a test kitchen for all the yolks, that means on top of the regular menu they have new recipes that they’re trying out! If you’re a breakfast lover this is The place to try! There is not much parking around there, but it’s worth a Uber ride! The yogurt with granola and fresh berries is out of this world! The coffee is very good and the service is excellent I recommend this place!

The food was good, but I was expecting more for the price. We got the very berry French toast and the hash, which were good, but nothing out of this world. The horchata that we got was very good though. I’d definitely get the horchata again if I was there. We sat outside to eat our food where there was a ton of construction going on. Although the construction was out of the restaurants control, it did not make our brunch any better. They are located near where I live, so I might come back for convenience of location. I would be willing to try other items on their menu to see if I just didn’t order the items that shine through.

This is the little guy and Zi’s favorite breakfast spot. We always get a booth, cozy up like it’s home and watch a movie while enjoying our breakfast. We absolutely love the strawberry orange juice. This is our first visit back since the pandemic. Social distancing is taking place and they require that you wear a mask. Our server was very polite. He checked in often. We practically order the same thing every time. Only this time we didn’t do the strawberry chocolate chip waffle. I ordered scramble with ham, kale, and cheese, cheesy grits, and a stack of pancakes for us to share. I’m not sure if they got a new chef, but my eggs were super runny. There was a puddle of green liquid when I was done. The grits were runny as well. The pancakes were perfect. Despite this experience this one time, I still will return and recommend. On our way out the staff usually treat my son to a sticker and a mint. He was sad to see the jars weren’t on the cashiers desk. The young lady pull a jar of mints from behind the desk and put a smile back on his face!

5/5!!!! Visiting from out of town. GREAT service! GREAT location (if you’re visiting Chicago, you could grab brunch then explore around). Also LOVE that it is BYOB (bring your own bottle), so it’s a great way to start your day. Make sure to order the strawberry orange juice, it’s the absolute best! Red Velvet French Toast: perfect mix between sweet and savory (closer to the sweet side) Loaded Potatoes: was stuck between regular red potatoes but the server recommended the loaded potatoes cake. So glad I ordered because it’s delicious. It’s like a hash browns mixed with baked potatoes. Countywide skillet: if you’re looking for a well balanced breakfast. There’s ham, onion, mushrooms, and two eggs (eggs was asked for poached, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED DOING THIS if you enjoy mixing yolk in with the other ingredients) Love it, have nothing but great things to say!

Let me start by saying that I rarely give 5 stars. Everything about this experience was great. We walked to this restaurant from my sons apartment and checked several other restaurant menus on the way over. There were so many great sounding meals on their menu that it was really hard to decide what we wanted to order. There was about a 35 minute wait for the patio on a Saturday and thee indoor portion was not open yet from the pandemic. The tables were spaced far enough apart where we felt safe. The hostess and waitress were both very friendly and accommodating. We had my sons puppy in a leash with us, which is allowed in the outdoor patio area. I got the Hey Ricky Omelette which had Avocado, jalapeño, chorizo, onions, pepper jack and cheddar with a side of their salsa. I substituted turkey sausage for the chorizo. My son had a South of the Border Benny which was Eggs Benedict on an English muffin with chorizo and cilantro sauce. Both of our meals came with seasoned potatoes that were delicious. Service was great and the food came out quickly.

We had a very good breakfast. We were able to use the yelp app and add ourselves to the waitlist and monitor when our table was ready. Food was exactly what you want on Sunday morning. Just good breakfast food! I did the build your own omelet and I appreciate that there wasn’t an up charge to use all egg whites, most places charge you extra for that. Best part of the dining experience was our server Joe. He was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.

The food here is generally very good, but the service is hit-or-miss. On our last visit we had the smoked salmon scrambler and the steak and eggs. Both are served with grilled potatoes and your choice of toast. The steak was cooked to perfection, but the smoked salmon Scrambler needed more salmon in it. The service here however is hit-and-miss we’ve had some really great servers but lately they have not been so great. It bothers me when you’re eating breakfast and you have to beg more than once to get coffee or refill. There also is a cute little sidewalk patio in front of the restaurant that you can have your food in, if you so desire. Over all, another really good breakfast at yolk in Wicker Park at least as far as the food goes.

My friends and I came here for brunch this morning and had a great experience. We had to wait about 40 mins until a seat was available, wasn’t ideal but it also wasn’t a terrible wait. After the wait it was smooth sailing from there! We had the sweetest waitress (Maria, I believe) who was a joy to talk to. She was friendly, respectful, and attentive. Everybody deserves a server like Maria! The food was pretty good and the portions were nice and big, it quickly filled me up. I had the “California Omelette” with seasoned potatoes and an English muffin (the potatoes and muffin were included with the omelette). They give you a lot and the prices are very affordable. My bill was no more than $25, can’t beat it! Also, the food was really well cooked and tasty! Really great place to have breakfast or brunch, their menu also has a lot of great options. Give this place a go, I’m sure you’ll love it!

Love love love this place and I thank them so much for staying open during the pandemic. Food is always hot, delicious, and great quality. Portion size relative to cost is very good. I’ve had several things at this location including tuna melt, patty melt, avocado toast, breakfast burrito, and I’m sure there are some that I am forgetting. I’d recommend anything on the menu!
