First time out for date night since Covid and everything was wonderful! Felt safe and clean from the moment they opened the door for us. Friday night reservations. We were seated right away. Service was absolutely excellent. We had half dozen oysters to start – good but not the best. Main courses were delicious. Hawaiian garlic prawns over the coconut crispy rice was so good. Nice twist of flavors with the pineapple. Ribeye was perfect with great flavor/dry rub. We had the stone crab claws which we probably could have skipped, nothing special if you eat a lot of seafood. Side dishes – lobster mash potato was like eating a lobster bisque. So good. Also got mushrooms which were a little salty. You have to get the carrot cake for dessert! If you like the carrot cake at hugos or gibsons, this one is better!! We also got a baked Alaska on the house for our anniversary, but it’s not something we would get again. Felt so good to have fine dining again indoors with great service!

What a phenomenal spot! My husband and I came in to celebrate and had the loveliest time. I think this spot is the best for a nice dinner out, whether it’s a date night or celebration. Our server, Drew, was the very best!! He made the evening even better. His superb knowledge of the menu items, pairings, and wonderful personality made this a 5-star experience. We ordered Stone Crab Claws as appetizers, large. Oh my yummy! They were mouth-watering. The sauce just enhanced the flavor. My husband ordered the bisque, which was ok (from the 3 spoonfuls I tried). It has a small kick. For our meal, we had the Skirt Steak and Branzino fish. The steak’s sear was on point, totally scrumptious. The Branzino melts in your mouth, perfectly paired with the taramasalata. I wasn’t very fond of the side Lobster Mashed Potatoes – it felt like they made mashed potatoes and poured some bisque on top. The dessert, a marshmallow-y dish, was good. 3 flavors of ice cream covered in marshmallow warmed up. Our drinks were phenomenal as well – Voila! was the perfect drink for our evening. It was an epic experience. We will definitely be back, and will only sit in Drew’s section. As for the ambiance, such a lovely spot. It’s not too flashy, and very elegant. Note for management: you have a gem in Drew.

Without question, the best dining experience we have ever had in the suburbs! My husband and I usually celebrate our anniversaries at steakhouses downtown Chicago. We’ve tried practically every steakhouse you can think of in the city, but with COVID-19, riots, and the weather not being so favorable, we decided to celebrate our anniversary with a dinner closer to home. We truly found a gem of a restaurant in every way. From the moment we pulled up and walked in, to the moment we left, we were treated with such respect and they truly made it a special experience for us. We had requested a specific area that we wanted to be seated by, and they accommodated our request without hesitation. From the attention to detail, to the beautiful ambiance, the lighting and decor, and the candle and rose petals on the table, it was all very classy and romantic. There were a few other dinner parties there, but they socially distanced everyone appropriately. Also noteworthy was the cleanliness and protocols they had in place for the staff. The General Manager George, served us our main courses, which impressed us very much. He also made sure to check in and see how we were enjoying it. The dessert was also worth mentioning as not only was it delicious but the presentation was impressive. Our server Romi, was nothing short of amazing, absolutely top notch! He was such a genuine and kind person. This was truly his art, but also impressive was how talented he was with singing. When he brought the dessert to us, he serenaded us in French. It was such an unexpected treat, which blew us away. As we left, Romi as well as the General Manager George, offered to take photos of us. We are so happy we chose to dine with Truluck’s this year. They exceeded every expectation in all categories. Thank you to everyone at Truluck’s for an unforgettable experience and wonderful evening with you all! Special thanks to Romi and George for taking such good care of us.

The staff here definitely went above and beyond any other restaurant to make us feel special and comfortable. From looking at details on our reservation about date night to calling the following day to see how we enjoyed our dinner, it was definitely top notch service. Special thanks to Nikole, and how great that they give their servers business cards so if we are happy with the service we can request that server again the next time. The food, starting with the garlic bread/rolls are fresh out of the oven and melt in your mouth. They were so good we got seconds. Unfortunately, they don’t offer them allegedly because of so many people with gluten issues, so you have to ask – make sure you ask, they are so worth it! The tuna tartare tower was also really good. We had a mission for stone crabs so that was our main dish with a side of broccoli. The stone crabs were as fresh as they are when you get and eat them in Florida unlike some other local restaurants that you can tell they have been frozen and thawed and are watery. If you like stone crabs definitely come here for them. The home made mustard dipping sauce is finger licking good and is an important part of the stone crab eating experience that they’ve nailed. Although full, we opted to try the dessert trio of creme brûlée, chocolate cake and carrot cake. The carrot cake was the winner of the plate and had me wishing I went with my gut and got the entire slice of carrot cake instead of the trio, but there’s always next time.

The food was outstanding! I ordered the scallops and I left feeling full. My date had a tuna special which was also amazing. 10/10 for food, presentation, and atmosphere. Definitely recommend trying Trulucks.

I came here last week with my family and I am in love with this place! Drew was our server. What a great guy. Friendly and knowledgeable on the menu. The food was amazing. Everything we had was fresh and tasty. Stone Crab, Oysters, Shrimp, Filet Mignon, King Crab Legs. We all kind of picked at each others plates, so we all tried everything. They have outdoor seating, so it was the perfect night for me and my family.

They too have changed the menu, but the quality of the food is still wonderful. I ordered a cocktail called voila it did not come with dry ice, it would’ve been more picturesque. I had king crab legs, stone crab claws, oysters that are called Delaware bay from NJ, shrimps, crab salad and filet mignon. Everything was great. Server Drew was very attentive and likable. Manager was cery caring for all the customers and everything. This is still one of my fav place!

Truluck’s food and ambiance is wonderful! We had Miso Sea Bass, Branzino and Filet. Eddie, our waiter was a delight. He brought Margaret a birthday baked Alaska. An absolutely awesome evening.
