A menu featuring an array of classic Italian dishes in a rustic setting with warm interiors.
This is such a cozy restaurant. We had a great server and the bussers wandered constantly clearing dishes and refilling water. We had the Caprese salad as an appetizer–it was delicious; my husband had the tenderest chicken Parmesan and I had the melt in your mouth blackened salmon along with a delicious filthy martini. We were not rushed but we got in and out of there in a reasonable amount of time. Give this place a try!
This is the first night back in the dining room after the CORONAVIRUS shutdown. It was a windy but humid night and we .ade our reservation for indoors instead of the tent. We started out with the pasta fagiolo soup. It was very good, but could have been hotter. Next, I indulged in the baked artichoke hearts. SCRUMPTIOUS! I made sure not to get too full on them and I’m anticipating the leftovers. I ordered the walleye special, which had an awesome crispy skin, on a bed of zucchini and cherry tomatoes. My husband had the twin filet mignon..done to his perfection of medium/medium rare, served with garlic mashed potatoes. Next we forced ourselves into dessert! I opted to take my tiramisu home, while my husband had the spomoni. Great service from Janice, too!
My husband and I had dinner in the tent last night. Despite being a chilly evening, the tent was completely heated and we were very comfortable. The service was fabulous, as always. Janice was wonderful! Management stopped by every table, fully masked up! Food is always phenomenal. I normally get the veal cutlet but opted to try a special, the Artie’s sausage and peppers. Delicious sliced sausage, peppers, onion and potatoes in a white wine sauce. Absolutely delicious. Sorisso has become our go-to for a great night out in a fantastic atmosphere, despite COVID. Can’t wait to go back!
Absolutely delish! The blackened salmon was awesome. Hubby had Ribeye that was amazing! We will be back!
I really wanted to like this place but the best way I can describe it is underwhelming and overpriced. Seriously, save yourself the money and go to Gatto’s for much better food at much better prices. Or go to Frankie’s, Rocco’s, or La Dolce Vita for better food and great atmosphere. I honestly can’t even think of a reason why you would go here over any of the amazing Italian restaurants in the area. Let’s start with the positives. The baked artichoke appetizer was excellent. My wife’s pasta in vodka sauce was good. The bottle of Gnarleyhead Zin wasn’t overpriced for a restaurant but the waitress put her hands all over the bottle top to open it, then poured it in our glass and recorked it after touching the cork. The interior and atmosphere were like eating in a cheap pub, not an Italian restaurant. When we asked our waitress questions about the menu and specials, she literally read from the menu. Somehow I was convinced the Walleye Pike was a great choice. I decided to try it since it was a special. Nope, swing and miss at a ball in the dirt. The flavor was non-existent. As a teen I could fillet a fish with less bones, so I don’t expect to pick them out of my mouth every bite when I pay $20 for it. The skin left on the fillet was crispy in some areas and disgustingly soggy in others which killed any redeeming qualities the fillet might have had. In regard to non-food issues, and I know I’m getting nit picky here, but the owner seemed to circulate the tables of the regulars and was quite friendly to them yet he never came near our table. I guess I prefer a place like Rocco’s where even if you are not a regular, the owner or manager stops over and makes you feel like your business is appreciated.
The sausage and ricotta with pepper app was so good. The Cajun blacked chicken with tortellini was so delicious!!
Disappointed to say the least. Food came back smelling and discolored. When we asked for a refund they acted like we were putting them out. Anyway, we returned the food and never will go back.
This was our first time here. We wanted Chicken Parm so we decided to try Sorriso’s and I’m glad we did ! We ordered curbside pickup Chicken Parm and Spaghetti w/Meatballs. Our order was still hot when we got it home and there was so much we couldn’t finish it ! Both dishes were fabulous and the Italian bread was good too ! We will definitely be returning !
My first time here tonight celebrating our first anniversary. The house salad and their homemade dressing was delicious. We had the cheese ravioli and chicken parmigiana, which was also delicious. The bartender made our Moscow Mules perfect too. Our server was pleasant and always checking in with us to see how things were. I will go back!
From start to finish, it was a GREAT EXPERIENCE! I called first to find out their curbside process. I got Anthony first and Anthony happened to be at the bar and couldn’t hear me. Then Jack got on the phone, and took my order! I got curbside…I was told to drive around to the back. I did and called as I had been told to do. Jack brought the food out, and had an absolutely GREAT ATTITUDE!!!! The FOOD WAS GREAT AND so much of it! My brother, David had referred me, he had actually helped them out during a problem with their electricity! But he couldn’t remember the Lady’s name (the owner?). ANYWAY! I certainly plan to go back!!! Yay 5 stars for the restaurant and 5 stars for Jack! Gailmarie
