Love love love this place! Took a friend for a birthday dinner and everyone was great! The hostess/greeter welcomed us with her wonderful and funny personality! She truly understands that she sets the tone for how the day will go! The waiter was attentive and made everything great! Even the manager came over to check on us and asked about how we enjoyed the food! The best experience is when EVERYTHING brought to the table is amazingly good! (If I had to say something could improve it would be the strawberry dessert….sorta dry but edible) I like that they offer a full course meal at a reasonable rate since menu is À la cart. Would definitely be back! Great environment with a perfect staff!

Melt in your mouth steaks. Appetizers are not great so skip those as well as match stick fries are too greasy. But romaine salad was delicious and huge portions. I’m a big eater and had so much leftovers. Honestly just split the meal with someone as reheating their steak is not quite as good as eating it there.

This is definitely a special occasion restaurant for my husband and I, but we’ve been coming here probably about once a year for the last 4 years (usually during restaurant week). We’ve tried most of the famous Chicago steakhouses at least once (RPM Steak, Chicago Cut, Gibson’s, Morton’s, etc.) and Ruth’s Chris is definitely our favorite. Service is top notch, and when they bring out the steaks, you can smell the butter and richness right away. The quality and flavor is consistent each time and we are never disappointed. I usually order a filet, and my husband the rib-eye. Both are cooked perfectly to medium rare (per our selection) and looks as good as it tastes. We came most recently to celebrate our anniversary, and they even decorated our table and added decorations to our dessert. My only suggestion is to offer more variety than just bread pudding for dessert in the 3-course meals. Although Ruth’s Chris is a chain and may not be a “Chicago steakhouse”, it is a winner in our book every time.

I had really high expectations for this restaurant since I’ve heard about it form my grandparents. We decided to go here for our anniversary was kinda a waste. We we told to dress business casual but when we go there people where dress in short, yoga pants, gym shoes. Not complaining because I wanted to dress up but the person who called us the day of our reservation made it seem as if we dressed other wise we wouldn’t get in. The service was great. My husband had the lamb chops and I order the cowboy steak both were great. However the other food we had(potatoes, brussel sprouts, asparagus, crab cake and cheesecake) wasn’t anything to write home about. The drinks tastes watered down as well.

HOLY MOLY this was the best steak I have ever had. I ordered the Petite Filet (medium rare) with the truffle topping. My boyfriend of course copied me and got the same. We also ordered a loaded baked potato to share. The waitress explained they serve the steaks on 500 degree plates to keep it warm while you eat. I was a bit worried it would keep my steak cooking but it didn’t at all. Definitely a nice touch. And the truffle topping just put it over the top. If it wasn’t 50 bucks a steak, we’d be back more often!

Service at the bar on Friday for happy hour was on point. I ventured in here around 4:30 and was immediately greeted and offered a menu. Since I had scoped out the selections online before my visit, I already had an idea of what I wanted. The Manhattan that I ordered was excellent. My ahi tuna appetizer is one that I would order again. I appreciated the level of detail (pickled ginger slices and a small rice vinegar cucumber, red pepper, and onion salad). The tuna was well seasoned and the preparation was sushi-grade. This bar area even lends itself to ordering a full meal, since it doesn’t seem like it gets too packed in. I am a fan of the calming ambience as well as the high-quality food, drink, and service that I experienced.

I was first disappointed we couldn’t get a standard seat and also take advantage of the HH specials, but we decided we wanted to try the steak, which was not a HH special anyways. The bar area definitely was not as nice as the dining area and not very well kept, but the dining area definitely felt more upscale. Our service was great and professional as well. Ruth’s Chris has some great deals to take advantage of and still try some high quality steak. We tried the dinner for two special, which was the perfect amount of food at a great price. The calamari appetizer was delicious but a little too soggy and not as crispy as we would have liked. I did enjoy the asian style sauce though. My steak and shrimp were perfectly cooked medium rare plus, tender, and super flavorful. The creamed spinach was a favorite side, but the mashed potatoes were not bad either. I was celebrating a special night and got some complimentary strawberry shortbread, which was a beautiful display. The presentation was definitely nicer than the taste and texture though, but still a nice gesture! We had a nice night and enjoyed our food and experience overall.

Celebrated my sister’s birthday here in April 2019. There was a special for the month for Cooper’s Hawk Wine Club members – bring up to two bottles of C.H. and waive the corkage fee. Our server, Ken, was great! He treated my sister like a queen without making the rest of us feel invisible. We started with a free birthday appetizer of spicy shrimp. Each of us ordered from the 3-course prix fixe menu – vegetable soup, stuffed chicken breast and whipped potatoes; mandarin salad, 6oz filet and whipped potatoes; and 2 8oz filets with lobster tails and baked potato. For dessert, we each enjoyed a blueberry crumble cheesecake. My toddler ate off of each of the adult plates and enjoyed a sizable order of French fries. Everything was cooked perfectly. Top notch service.

Food was fantastic. Atmosphere was grand. Laxk of a coat room and horrible wait staff has me on edge of decision to return. Wish I had the spoon my waitress promised before I had to get up half way through my meal and ask another wait staff for help with my long awaited spoon. Quite the disappointing dining experience overall. Oh yeah, did I mention the restaurant wasn’t busy?

We came here to celebrate my husband’s birthday and overall had a really nice experience. If I could, I would give it a 4 1/2 and I will explain why. What I liked about this restaurant was that it is so big that people are spaced out evenly and it doesn’t seem too loud/like you’re talking over people. You can easily hear whomever you are sitting with. The table was also nicely decorated with confetti since I had told them in advance we were celebrating a birthday — cute feature! The service we had was top-notch. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by several of the staff and were made to feel welcomed. At several points throughout the meal, people (there were so many I didn’t know all of their roles!) stopped by to ask how everything was going and if we needed anything. Very courteous staff. We shared a porterhouse steak for two and it was absolutely delicious. I can’t say enough good things about the steak. They cook it in butter but it isn’t oversaturated thankfully. It was cooked just how we asked for it and the crust (if that’s the right term to use for the exterior?) was outstanding. The seasonings were flavorful without being overpowering. The texture of the meat was juicy and tender and we enjoyed every bite. As for the sides, I think they have a bit of room for improvement. We ordered the roasted fingerling potatoes and the Cremini mushrooms. They both were kind of opposite from each other in terms of improvement. The fingerling potatoes had nice seasoning and flavor to them. However, some of the larger potatoes tasted a little underdone and were very tough, whereas the smaller pieces had that nice crisp on the outside and chewiness on the inside. On the other hand, the Cremini mushrooms had a perfect consistency, but were so saturated with butter it lost its savory flavor. I still ate both of them — these are just suggestions for future customers. This is a nice place to come for special occasions or a date night for sure. You know you’ll have great steak paired with very good service in a calm, classy atmosphere.
