Breakfast restaurant
Food was great, good pricing. Great atmosphere staff friendly and very attentive. Jukebox playing oldies and regulars kept us laughing with witty conversation with staff.
A typical breakfast spot with fast and friendly service. I’ve never had any issues here. I’ve had grits, BLT and a grilled cheese. Everything was delicious and made quickly. Anytime I work in the area, I call in my order and it’s ready in 10 minutes.
Very rude very disrespectful customer service is definitely pour but what makes it so bad the owner right there he never say nothing he just simply let it go on sorry ass people
No frills, just good, honest food. Pete’s Place is your textbook dive breakfast diner and then some. It’s fairly small, there’s an old jukebox, and there’s a guy selling toiletries at the front of the store (I have no idea.) The menus are ratty and worn from years of use. Weathered posters of an early-presidency Obama and the ’96 World Champion Chicago Bulls adorn the walls. What the place lacks in ambiance, however, they make up in their food and service. The coffee–served in a styrofoam cup–is good. The food is tasty, the portions quite large, and everything’s reasonably priced. If you’re hungry and find yourself in East Garfield Park one morning for some reason, stop by for a pretty good greasy meal.
Pretty great steak, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich. I stop by whenever I’m in Chicago. It’s popular amongst locals. Pretty simple little breakfast spot you’d probably stop by on the way to work. I never eat in; always take my food to good. They don’t use gloves when handling food though.
Great!!!This “Hole in wall ” have the Best “Super Steak Sandwich “ever!!! …so good ! Very Simply Dive Breakfast/Lunch Place. With Very nice service !!!..and Great Standard Food! Coffee Pancakes Eggs Sausage Steak Fish Bacon Grits . Stick with Basic! Simply The Best! Open 7days 6am to 2pm.
What I like about Pete’s is the simple menu. Everything is homemade right in front of your eyes. Their famous chopped steak sandwich is a great lunch choice served on white toast. Have them add bacon and egg for the Super Steak sandwich breakfast experience. Try their full or short stack pancakes, they are fluffy! Pete’s is open super early but closes during the week around 2pm, its a great spot for early morning commuters looking to grab a bite before work. The owners are always on site and when not busy will chat with you.
Solid hangover go too. Steak and cheese add grilled onions and pickles..mustard in tha sideeee. Thank me later. But as a side note the locals are pretty aggressive when it comes to their breakfast so call ahead and be patient!
Food was just right!!! Customer service was great everyone was very polite. Restaurant was clean! Everything was goood!
Horrible horrible customer service it almost brought me to tears. Over an hour wait with the rudest staff I’ve ever encountered
