This is an easy spot for a quick lunch by the UChicago campus. I especially enjoyed the fried rice, and they did an excellent job accommodating my food allergies. It is not easy to find an Asian restaurant that will accommodate a soy allergy! They sauteed my beef and noodles in a soy-free garlic based sauce, and it was delicious.

Good. Online ordering is down. That’s why 4 stars instead of 5. Red curry is awesome.

After an adventurous day at the University of Chicago, we decided to eat at Noodles Etc located a close 10 mins walk away from the core of the campus. Unlike other schools we’ve seen, the University of Chicago didn’t seem to have a main food spot where restaurants clustered. Instead, they had little hubs in different areas of the school. Even though it was pretty warm that day, we decided to go to Noodles Etc because it was a “Michelin guide recommended restaurant” so it had to be good right? Although there were many options to choose from, I settled with the curry rice noodle with chicken. Unfortunately, it wasn’t very impressive. The curry was too coconut-y so you couldn’t taste any spices in it. With that being said, it also packed a spicy punch. The rice noodles in the dish were also very clumpy which made it hard to mix in with the curry and not very enjoyable to pick apart and eat. On the bright side, there was a good portion of chicken and veg

There was a hair in my peanut sauce. Definitely sucked!!! Not saying I wouldn’t return but maybe they should wear a hair net or something. Everything else was fine…. I think….

It’s been a long time since I have seen a noodles place packed and a line waiting mid afternoon. Yes, all delicious noodles and toppings. So good. Servers are great and very knowledgeable on the menu. Try the crab Rangoon and the Thai spring rolls 🙂

My daughter and I love Noodles! After school on any random day, I will surprise My kid with dinner at Noodles Etc. She doesn’t know mommy doesn’t want to cook, too tired so we go with it! We always order the gyozas, chicken fried rice and the basil curry. Anytime I switch it up and get something else, I always crave the curry so, I’m going to stick with the basil red curry and be satisfied. It’s a smaller establishment and yes they have outdoor seating. Never had to wait for a table. Usually great service. The last time wasn’t so great but won’t stop us from coming back! Try it!

This great place has great Thai food with a Asia flare…. Getting the order correct will take sometime. The dumplings were chicken and vegetables with sauce. The Singapore noodles without shrimp and pork came to Table although she order only chicken. That was provide at first. The pork and shrimp Singapore noodles we remade only with chicken…. The pot stickers were 6 in number, they went quick, Pati Thai noodle with Chicken was tasty. The seaweed salad was totally forgotten and it was requested or again … They need to work on writing down what is being ordered .. This was a stop after Sunday of praise and worship. Shalom

The best way to survive the pandemic is to pick up the Singapore noodles and have a picnic on the beautiful campus of U of C! I even ordered Pancit noodles for lunch for the next day. Life is good with Noodles!

Noodles Etc is really the perfect “college town” kind of spot in Hyde Park for UofC students. While the food is not the best, the service is fast, the menu is simple and not too large, the portions are perfect, and the prices are cheap. I’ve probably been here over 20 times and generally stick with just a noodle or curry entree. The pad see eu and drunken noodles are my go-tos, and the pad thai hits the spot too when you’re craving Thai food. Their Thai iced tea is on the sweet side, but is nice when I want to splurge a lil bit. The ladies here are always so nice and willing to help you/your friends split the check.

Cute little noodle place walking distance from U Chicago. The food was delicious and I was already thing how we could fit in this restaurant another time before we left Chicago. Very reasonable prices as well. I had the Tom Youn Goung ( please excuse spelling errors) rich broth with tomatoes and onions well cooked in broth. It had enough shrimp and was not too spicy. In fact, not spicy at all. The pad Thai was delicious as well. Plenty of umami. The noodles were on the thinner side which I liked better. Plenty of sliced cabbage (red and green) to go along. If there was only one thing I was allowed to order again this would be it. We also had the spring rolls. Pretty good, no complaints. We had the chicken sticks, which we had to send back as they were not completely cooked. I guess that was the worse thing that happened while there. They cooked them more and they were delicious. Service was efficient as it was lunchtime so that was good. The jasmine green tea had a jasminey smell and was good. The menu was full of choices. The portions were large. I would go back. It has a casual atmosphere.
