The flavorful char on the crust, the sweet fresh sauce, the toppings – so good! I’m generally not a fan of Chicago’s classic dish spots, but this pizza has something special. It has the best qualities of a pan and deep dish pizza, rolled into one. Highly recommend.
I rarely, if ever, leave reviews. I felt compelled after eating this pizza because it is seriously one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. The ingredients are so fresh, and Robert’s sauce recipe is incredible. The burnt cheese on the edge of the crust is phenomenal after having such a delicious slice. Will be coming back!
If chicago deep dish had a baby with detroit style pizza, absolutely delicious. Millie’s manages to walk a tightrope, combining and bringing out the best of both, with a sauce that offers a hint of spice but doesn’t overpower the toppings or cheese. Will definitely be ordering again.
The only thing good that has come out of this COVID nonsense is the pizza here. These pies are off the charts good. Totally unique style not deep dish not pan not Detroit its Milly’s. Ok everyone is making pizza now I get it easy and crazy profit margins. Robert is giving you an experience. Fresh interesting ingredients and a substantial sauce maybe even to much sauce. If you read any of my reviews you know I’m about good food and value. Although these ain’t cheap they do provide incredible value. The pie feels like it weighs ten pounds. Pro tip- pick up a slice from the Pauly Gees window on Milwaukee on your way to Millys to get your juices flowing
We had the covfefe pizza today and it was great! The pizza had a good amount of sauce (which is my favorite part of a pizza). Usually at Pequods, I ask for extra sauce, but I wouldn’t need to make that request here. Pequods is our favorite pizza place in the city and Milly’s is comparable! Similar to Pequods, it has a caramelized crust, with toppings and sauce up to the edge. Compared to Pequods (and almost every other pizza place we’ve been to), Milly’s pizza was less salty and had higher quality ingredients. It was our first time having peppadew peppers and they were really good! Sweet with a little bit of spice! The sausage was very good as well, a lot of flavor. But there was very little sausage. All the other toppings (mushrooms, red onions, toy box tomatoes, spinach & ricotta cheese) were good quality, with nice flavor, and evenly spread throughout the pizza. The only thing we would’ve suggested to make the pizza even better, would be to add a little more sausage. We got the 14 inch pizza for the 2 of us and will definitely have leftovers! I think the pizza would easy feed 4-6 people, depending on how hungry you are. The current process is: (1) order online (select your pizza and pick up time, the sooner the better so they don’t sell out); (2) head to the address, the entrance is on the side, accessible from the parking lot; (3) text when you arrive and they will bring the pizza to you. Looks like there are 2-3 picnic tables with nice flowers in the parking lot where you may be able to eat as well. I would definitely recommend checking this place out!
