Charming eatery with artsy decor serving French classics & wine, along with savory & sweet crêpes.
if you are looking for authetic tasting French food in the southwest suburbs Chicagoland, La Crepe Bistro is the place to go. Not only is the food exquisite — i love the duck and escargot and they do it right — but the ambiance is pure Paris cafe. The combination of the great French menu and atmosphere of the restaurant inside and in the outdoor patio is phenomenal. Every detail is covered as of they lifted a French cafe from the Champs-Elysees in Paris. I can’t say enough about this place. It’s going to be my new hangout from now on.
This was my first visit and I was delighted with everything. The interior is authentic and charming. The staff was polite, knowledgeable, and kind. But the food – oh – that was what it was all about. I had the beef crepe filled with a rich, hearty gravy, pieces of meat that were fork tender and an assortment of vegetables. Absolutely delicious. For dessert I had the crepes suzette. The glaze grabs your taste buds; the combination of sugar and grand marnier and pieces of orange was delightful I will definitely be going back. I hope you give it a try.
I wish I came here sooner!! Definitely my new favorite restaurant. The service is gentle and attentive. Atmosphere is a total vibe. The food is just amazing. Totally worth a visit if your considering going to this restaurant.
Great food and dining experience for French cuisine! Nice atmosphere.. we will be back!
FYI. Be prepared to pay $20 for a drink as shown. Otherwise all good. Food and ambiance are great. If you like a reservation at 6:30 or 7:00 you’ll be told to order because the kitchen closes at 8 on a Saturday night.
I organized a birthday celebration for my mom at this restaurant. The moment I contacted the restaurant about expanding the reservation, the staff seemed unwelcoming. When told I couldn’t expand the reservation, I asked if I could book an additional table. The tone of the hostess on the telephone and the person in the background met me with a deep sigh. The hostess repeatedly told me that she wouldn’t combine the checks, although I never asked her to. I would have immediately canceled if it was not my mom’s birthday. When we arrived we were met with unwelcoming stares by the ENTIRE staff. I’m not exaggerating at all. I asked if we could have the patio, the staff was reluctant, but my family was happy to get out of the unpleasant atmosphere. After ordering close to $800 worth of food, my daughter asked for more of the sauce that came with her steak. I could believe the response, “that’s a $5 charge”. For sauce!!! I will never step foot into this place again. My black family can spend our money in better places!
Rediscovered this place this year. For some reason it went under our radar for years. Food quality and service very consistent. Almost everything we’ve tried we enjoyed. I always get their plain beignets (different style from New Orleans), it is always served warm!
Been going here since it opened. Every visit is better than the time before. The most delicious food in the southwest suburbs!
I’ve wanted to try this restaurant and finally got out this way! I called in my order and the person was very nice and read my order back to me. The wait time was quick and my order wad ready when I arrived. We ordered a few different crepes, we had the triple berry, strawberry, French butter with sugar and a breakfast crepe. All crepes were prepared correctly except the butter which was supposed to have cinnamon on it but did not. I’ve had crepes all over the USA and theses were very good. The only thing that I wasn’t use to was that everything was on top and not folded in which is not the way I prefer it. The inside is beautiful and very clean. They have an outdoor part which is set up super cute! I would like to try food other than crepes off their menu next time
This restaurant gets better with each visit. Last night we celebrated my Dad’s 96th birthday. The service was exemplary. The server skillfully accommodated various requests and explained what could and could not be done. The food was exemplary. Each of enjoyed our meal. The menu is diverse. The owner takes great pride in her establishment. She even has the servers wear custom designed dresses that depict the Eiffel Tower. When you eat here you feel like you are in France.
