Casual eatery features eclectic fare from Tuscan entrees to pizza and Irish faves, plus a full bar.
So this a mobile review. I was at a hotel and no ride. It was a very strong experience. I have heard about Foxes and how good the sausage pizza is. I’m from NJ and we understand pizza. I have issues with pizza in squares but this was the exception. The crust was excellent and the sausage was really good. It was different then a NJ pizza and worth the risk to me.lol
I highly recommend this place to enjoy an indoor seating area with air condition during the pandemic and after. I felt extremely safe as the restaurant was not overcrowded and staff was wearing masks and social distancing was being applied. Now let’s get to the good stuff we ordered she sticks they were the best cheese sticks ever beer batter and absolutely delicious she’s worth of high-quality definitely and don’t get me started on the pizza we ordered sliced roast beef with jardinera it was absolutely the most delicious pizza I had ever had in Chicago and I’ve had lots of pizza in Chicago it was so thin so crispy well done enough roast beef to taste it and enjoy it the jardinera didn’t overpower the pizza it was a complete Delight and our server Brian was so attentive I recommend you come out and support this local business and if you’re not local I recommend you take a ride it will be worth it. So satisfied!!!
Wow I’m an uber driver so I see everything in all restaurants I visit. This restaurant nobody is wearing a mask the people that are preparing your food wear no masks. Wow don’t come here unless you want some covid on the side
My sister, wife, brother-in -law and myself went on Saturday 1-4-20 around 6:00pm We were seated by the hostess at a table. We chatted a bit, but we noticed everybody that was seated after us were getting waited on. It was like we were invisible.I kept trying to make eye contact with a server but, to no avail. We all agreed to wait a couple more minutes, then left.I saw the hostess on the way out and told her the issue. She said oh ,come back will get a server. I had my coat on already, too late. I’ve had pizza there before, and it’s really good.I noticed something as soon as you walk in the place a wave of musty wet basement smell hits you. I think the place was flooded years ago. We wound up going to Palermo’s on 95th street. We sat at the bar and and ate there. I guess good help is hard to find !
First had the bruschetta pizza in the restaurant so it has been a few months ago. I really enjoyed it. Fresh garlic, fresh tomatoes, fresh basil and just enough mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. I then ordered for take out and received a tasteless cracker dough with just a schmear of sauce and sprinkling of Parmesan. Ok, so thought that day was a new cook who didn’t know what to do. Well, tried take out again and mentioned the previous bad experience. At pick up, was told pizza was personally checked and appeared everything was right. Wrong. It did have fresh tomatoes but no garlic or basil and the tomatoes were under a layer of hard plastic-like “glue” cheese. For years have ordered the “special” (sausage, mushroom, onion, green pepper) and 90% of the time was good. If they cannot make “unique” pizza, it should be taken off the menu. Also ordered family broasted chicken which was always good. These are trying times, but the chicken was “gummy” and potatoes tasted of freezer burn. Sooooo very disappointed with total order.
We ordered two pizzas for take out. Both pizzas were really good. Note: the cashier wore a face mask.
Don’t eat here at all it’s filled with detrimental employees who can’t get orders correct. Then when they tried to fix my order they still messed it up. They shouldn’t even get a star, If you want $10/hr+ maybe you should learn how to get orders correct. Everyone in there should be making $8.25/hr.
I had a $5 reward that I was definitely planning on using when the restaurant reopened after the coronavirus shut-down. Unfortunately it expired on 3/30/20. When I called to ask if they would extend the expiration date, I was told NO and it wasn’t their fault that the restaurant was closed. They said I could use it for a take-out order. That’s not what I wanted to do so they said I was out of luck. I’ve dined at Fox’s for decades and think they should have extended my rewards. It’s not my fault that the restaurant is closed either.
One of the better pizza’s on the south side, but to many times I’ve received a burnt pizza. Invest in a timer
Delivery Review- driving home and we see a Foxs truck and my wife says, the neighbors order from them wanna try it. We order the Foxs special and exactly an order theres pizza delivered to our door. Great amount of toppings, love love love the thin crust. Fair priced, the delivery driver was super nice. I don’t know if I’d want to dine in based on the other reviews but delivery was on point!
