Random women from the private dining room next door kept interrupting our business dinner. It was entertaining but they were clearly drunk (in town for a dental conference) and came to our private room no fewer than 4 times. On the one hand it was funny; but on the other, it was annoying no one at Fleming’s stopped it from happening. Staff is nice but not the level of overall professionalism you’d except for paying $50 for a steak (especially compared to a Mastro’s, Steak 48 or even Capital Grille). Probably wouldn’t go back given the number of other great steakhouses in Chicago. Wagyu strip: 5/5 Seafood tower: 5/5 (lobster, crab legs, shrimp, ahi tuna poke) Brussels sprouts: 4/5 Lobster mac n cheese: 4/5 Mushrooms: 4/5 Asparagus: 4/5

The bar happy hour is extremely yummy so many great yet inexpensive items. The wine list is extensive!!! Definitely a place to go for a nice wine date with your partner or a first date. Food came out quickly, good energy, low warm lights when the sun goes down beautiful bottle displays. Would definitely come back.

The cuts of meat were excellent. The sides were very nice compliments. The appetizers were delicious. The only thing that brought this down a notch was that the temperature of the meats were off for almost all of us. Nothing horrible but too rare or too medium instead of medium rare. My steak was actually just slightly undercooked and I was fine with that. But some of my team were less forgiving. The sides were all pretty good we had the Mac and cheese the creamed spinach the asparagus the potatoes and mushrooms.

On Tuesday, my friend and I had dinner here to celebrate her birthday. Prior to our arrival, I made online reservations to let the establishment know that it was her birthday, and I’m very glad I did. Upon our arrival, there was a customized card waiting for us along with cute table decorations, and to top off the experience, they bought out a dessert that consisted of chocolate truffles. Our server, Brooke, was phenomenal! She was very informative, perfected coming to the table at the right time, and was an amazing representation of the type of hospitality that Fleming’s strives to offer. The icing on the cake? THEY SEASON THEIR FOOD. Holy hell my palate was pleasantly surprised – I’ll definitely be returning.

We came to Fleming’s for a nice dinner, the wife and I. We arrived and were immediately seated (we had a reservation) on the second floor. Which for me was better , as the main bar is on the main floor and it was a bit loud with conversation. Plenty of room in our booth as well. The importance of that is not to be understated. The service was spectacular. We never at any time had to wait for any refills or attention (which was not hovering at all-big plus). We were first brought warm bread with a pumpkin butter and a champagne infused butter. Wow. Both were great but the champagne butter was better overall. We ordered a couple of apps, beef carpaccio and a seared pork belly. The carpaccio was so damn good. It came with a Cajun mustard aioli and capers. The pork belly was a disappointment though. It was served on a bed of goat cheese grits. The grits were a bit bland and lacked salt. My wife likened the belly to boneless ribs. Not a lot of flavor there either. It came with a fig demi glacé which was also underwhelming. Next up: entrees! I had the dry aged ribeye. Hands down one of the best steaks I have ever had. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked. No sauce needed at all. My wife had the Chilean Sea Bass, served with a Miso glaze and broth. Perfect! Flaky, tender and excellent flavor in the broth. Dessert was the creme brûlée for me (very good) and molten chocolate cake for the wife. That was a dessert two could share (couldn’t finish it) but when they say molten chocolate cake, they meant it. Warm oozing chocolate center, vanilla ice cream, and a house made whip cream (soooo good). Overall an excellent meal and service. You’ll pay a premium price. It was worth it.

If you’re looking for the perfect venu, to entertain a group, this is it! I had a five star experience on a Perfect fall evening in Chicago. Met up here with a group of 100 about 70 real estate investors for a networking event. We’d reserved the 2nd floor, bar and dining area. Open Bar Bar tenders were on point, I had a perfect old fashioned and some very good conversation. After networking on the bar area we went into the private dining room for dinner. Appetizers First came out the appetizers served family style, delicious calamari, shrimp cocktail, filet mignon flatbread served family style and a bruschetta. Followed by a taste chopped salad with some roasted walnuts, root veggies, cucumbers and tomatoes. Despite being a steak house, Fleming’s works well for vegetarians. Entree Being at a steak house 95% of the attendees went for the steak. A filet mignon cooked to perfection. I chose the non traditional route and had the vegan dish as the server informed me, that only one other person in the room had selected. Steve who was sitting at my table. It was delicious, had a roasted avocado atop a bead mushrooms, butternut squash, roasted Campari tomatoes, pickled onions and tons of other wholesome goodness. Optional with every entree was Diablo shrimp over the top. Desert Cheesecake was delicious, live a little with a caramel sauces on the side amazing Key lime pie didn’t look to shabby either

Sheila and I went here last week for a Christmas dinner. We started with a bowl of their lobster bisque which was delicious followed by the calamari appetizer which was also great. It was served with red and banana peppers as well as a sweet and spicy sauce on top. They were extra crispy and the sauce really gave them the edge over most calamari we’ve tried. For dinner I had the large filet topped with lobster tail. It was very good but could’ve used a little more sauce for my liking. Sheila had the smaller filet served Oscar style. She also greatly enjoyed her meal accompanied with mashed potatoes. We had drinks throughout the meal which were very generously poured and tasty – overall great meal.

Alright, review time. Stopped in here for happy hour in the bar area. Nice spacious booth, clean and well kept. I had a reservation and I was able to sit down right away. The hostess was friendly and polite on my way in and out. The place looks warm and is comfortable and pleasant to be in. My server was David H and he was great. He was friendly but still the kind of professionalism you expect from this kind of restaurant. He came to the table at appropriate intervals and neither bothered us nor neglected us. His service was well timed and we barely waited for anything. So atmosphere and service gets A+++. Now the food. Let’s get the bad out the way, and the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. My mother had a Caesar salad for $13 and it was not worth the value. There was barely any lettuce or dressing on it or anything else for that matter. It was on a small plate and really had no substance. My sister and I ate from the Happy hour menu and I was more than pleased. I would have paid more for each of the two items I ordered. The surf and turf sliders were amazing. I had the trio which was one lobster one crab one steak. The bread was sweet and warm and delicious. The meat was cooked to a perfect temperature and seasoned with finesse. I also had the tots and I could eat a bucket of them for real. The spicy sauce that comes with them was so flavorful. So fix the salad guys but if you want food with flavor and a great staff then come here for sure. My plates were cleared without asking and my water stayed full. Even the water tasted great!

One of our favorite go-to steakhouses! Their meat, cooked to perfection. Their sides, spiced up the meal. Generous pours of wine, delicious drinks, and the service.. always outstanding. Last visit we had the aged prime rib and ordered lobster Mac and Brussel sprouts. The lobster Mac was creamy and had huge chunks of lobster. Definitely a must! All their vegetables are good. Usually go with the creamy spinach but can’t go wrong with any side dish.

Came here on a Saturday night, made reservations 15 minutes before and was able to get a table. Very nice, elegant restaurant. Asked if we wanted to check our coats. They put us at a round table that seated four, even though it was two of us. Lots of room. Richard was our server and he was very nice and open with recommendations. He went through the specials throughly and answered all questions. Short rib was amazing and tender. I didn’t have to use a knife, it pulled apart from my fork alone. Also had lobster Mac, asparagus, and Yukon mashed potatoes. They were all really good. We also had lava chocolate cake, it was so moist and the ice cream made it perfect. I feel like every restaurant has it for desert but this is definitely the best lava cake I ever had. The only downfall I have about this place is, the amount of food they give and the leftovers aren’t very good the next day. The next day the leftovers seemed very greasy. Overall, I would absolutely return. It was $192 for two entrees, three sides, and two drinks. Pretty much what I expected from a four star steakhouse.
